About Arif Arif's journey has brought him a long way. His bodily aches, stress and injury drastically reduced over the course of his practice. He is now a dedicated Yogi that shows up enthusiastically on the mat, practicse mindfully and treats his body with so much respect and love. It has been a real pleasure to watch his practice mature so much as he understands that the aim of the practice is to find ease and joy in order to heal the mind and the body.
What Arif had to say I have spent most of my life in front of computers, long hours in front of screens made me forget about my body, i was so unconscious to an extend that I literally lost the sensation of my body.
I was stressed all the time, I haven't realised until now that the stress was all self created, and the way I was seeing the world was actually not the way it was in reality. The mental pain that I have created got manifested as physical pain, legs, shoulders, neck and severe tension headache.
On the top of the physical pain, suffering was created as another layer, coming out of this loop was very difficult, suffering made me realise that all this chaos that I am in was self-created and the cure can only come from within and not from without. This self realisation started to happen when I started to practice Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation, my life started to change, pain was reduced dramatically and found that suffering was no more than a story I have created and believed in.
Arif received a cotton "Nama-stay" T-shirt from Namaste.
