Karima Sharabi has always had a passion for health and fitness but started practicing Pilates two years ago for rehabilitation purposes after injuring her neck. Not only did Pilates solve her neck injury but she believes that the focus of Pilates on strengthening the core and lengthening the spine has helped her body get into optimum balance, shape and strength. This year she became certified in the “classical style of pilates,” committing herself to passing along Joseph Pilates work exactly as he taught it. Karima was trained by Viviana Campaz whose teacher, Romana Kryzanovska, was part of the first generation of students to train directly with Joseph Pilates.
